Courtney Alexander Williams is a member of several acting and cinematography organizations. And he now lives in and around the New York City area but has also trained in Los Angeles. The other book written by Williams is entitled, ‘Faithful Brothers?’ which was first published in the year 2011, and serves as a prequel to ‘From Africa with Love.’
Your story is so vivid and warm, did it personally relate to you so much?
Not necessarily. After life experience, trials and tribulation, pitfalls and downfalls, that makes the story what it is.
How did you come up with the story?
In all honesty, it’s from my vivid imagination.
Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?
I do hear from a lot of them and if I may use a few of their own words, they describe the book as “Excellent”, “Brilliant”, “Heart wrenching”, Heart warming”, and “Breathtaking”, just to name a few.
What do you think is the biggest challenge between Abdalla and Nowace’s relationship?
I don’t think it’s a challenge. I would use other words – love, distance, and communication.
If we relate this novel to a song, what would it be?
I have two songs in mind from the same artist, Boyz II Men – “I’ll Make Love to You” and “Down On My Bended Knee”.
Do you consider Mr. Waldo’s selfishness as a blessing in disguise for the two hearts to finally find in each other’s arms?
Absolutely not! With his selfishness and greed, even if he did not give his blessings upon them, they would have still fallen in love because Nowace loved Abdalla unconditionally and he feels the same for her.
What can your readers expect to gain from this novel?
World wisdom and knowledge. If someone is getting married, they should read this book. If someone is engaged, they should read this book. And if someone is falling in love, they should read this book. And most definitely if someone is thinking of getting a divorce, they should read this book, and it will help them make the right decision.
What was the most surprising thing you learned in creating a book?
It was difficult to find a publisher for the book, I learned more about myself and I became more resilient from overcoming all of the challenges.
The love shared between Abdalla and Nowace is extraordinary, do you think this kind of love still exists in the world today?
Of course, definitely! Relationships will always have difficulties, but with faith and trust in each other, love will conquer all.
Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers?
I always think about writing, and I’ll never stop. This book is the second part of a trilogy and I’m working on the final book now. It is very engaging and I think my readers will be pleased with how the story turns out.
