If we only try to understand, meditate on his thoughts, and apply them in our life, then we can experience a life of peace, wisdom, love, and happiness.

What inspired you to write about your life journey with God and your understanding of the soul and the spirit?
My inspiration came from my wife who recognized my ability to place thoughts into writings. Oftentimes when I speak I am unaware of the magnitude of words spoken. It is as though I am not conscious, especially when the conversation or subject matter is of a spiritual nature.
Have you written other books? What were/are those?
Never in my wildest dreams could I have envisioned myself as a writer with the possibility of national and even international distribution and recognition. This is my first endeavor. I am currently in the completion stage of SPOKEN PART II. There has been such an overwhelming desire by those who have read SPOKEN and are asking for a follow-up. PART II will reach deeper into the minds of readers to strengthen their faith and see God with a greater understanding, through His Word. Many of the PART II writings will be extended in length but contained in one page.
How does God speak to you? How does He share his message?
How does God speak to me? That is a book within itself. There is no single method (if you will) in His communication since He is omnipresent and His presence is everywhere. It is the closeness of the connection and the submission to Him and the design or the assignment for each individual. The criteria for a God to man and man to God relationship is salvation through His Son, Jesus. My assignment from God is what He has ordained for me as His ambassador. He speaks through His Word (The Holy Bible). He speaks to my spirit. He even speaks through others. He speaks through nature. He speaks as I meditate, worship when I’m confused, and sad even at the lowest times in my life. The keyword is (discernment), which is to recognize His voice.
You mentioned in this book that prayer in faith is the most effective, how does one pray in faith?
Praying in faith – (KJV)Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”; Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarded of them that diligently seek Him.
The conclusion: believing in God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. That is praying in faith.
The weight of the war was something you shared about yourself, do you believe that this experience brought you closer to God?
The war was just a part of the growth. It started at age 6 when I heard the voice of God calling me to preach. Too young to know the magnitude placed on my assignment, life had to prepare me for that assignment. My development would involve many falls and pitfalls, rejections, and disappointments. This would include sickness and losses with little gain. There would be many sleepless nights. I would experience bouts with depression and alcoholism, suicidal tendencies from the effects of the war. Even the separation of marriage would be a part of my growth. Once we were at the point of rolling pennies to make ends meet. Uprooted from what we thought was life’s settlement was also included. My wife and I are now closer to each other and to God today because of our faith in knowing that there were greater things for us, together, and that our lives were and are a testimony for others.
Tell us about your writing experience. How long have you been writing? And has this always been something you imagined yourself to be?
As stated earlier, this is my first book, written at age 72 which was being developed at age 68. My wife, through her spiritual connection with God, saw my potential. Through her encouragement and my trust in her and my faith, I pursued much meditation. Being an author was not on my list of achievements.
What other book genre do you plan to write in the future?
I’m in prayer for the success of SPOKEN (1st Edition) which will lead to the 2nd Edition. If God reveals, I would love to tell my life’s story, not necessarily for monetary gain, but to let the readers know that it is never too late to “Dream past your dreams”!
What is the most significant message that you would like to share with the readers from this book Spoken Meditation from the Heart?
Everyone in the sight of God is special. It is better said in the Scriptures: (KJV) Psalm 8.
